Meet Chandrika – our newest cover girl on the Autonomie Project homepage.
Chandrika is one of the workers in Sri Lanka that taps the rubber for the soles of our Ethletic sneaker collection. Yup, you read that right. The rubber used in our shoes is all natural and literally tapped from a rubber tree like maple syrup! Most conventional rubbers these days are man-made in a polluting factory and loaded with chemicals and toxins. You can be sure that Chandrika’s work is much better for our planet, for her family – and for your feet!
Chandrika is 30 years old, is married to a local mason, and has 3 sons ages 13, 10, and 6. All 3 of her children are enrolled in school.
